Slovak lands : ウィキペディア英語版 | Slovak lands
Slovak lands or Slovakian lands ((スロバキア語:Slovenská zem) or shortly ; Hungarian: ''Tótország''; Polish: ''Ziemia Słowacka'' or shortly ''Słowaczyzna'') is the historical denomination for the whole of the Slovak-inhabited territories in Central Europe. It more or less corresponds to modern Slovakia and the adjacent territories in which autochthonous Slovak minorities live.〔Uniwersytet Jagielloński. Studium Słowiańskie, Polska Akademia Nauk. Komitet Słowianoznawstwa. 1989. ()〕 ==Terminology==
The term ''Slovak lands'' describes Slovak ethnic territory from the 5th century when Slavs inhabited these lands The term of "Slovak" is problematic in relation of the medieval period, because it is essentially the product of the modern nationalism as it emerged after the 18th century.〔William Mahoney, (The History of the Czech Republic and Slovakia ), ABC-CLIO, 2011, p. 34〕 The Slovaks called their country 'Slovensko' (Slovakia) – the term appears in written documents from as early as the fifteenth century but it was not precisely defined.〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=László )〕
